Thermals.

On a cold English Saturday I am blogging about thermals. I am the coldest person in the world and I really feel the cold so the second I saw the new thermals collection from Free People I just had to order these tops and oh my God! They are amazing. They are super soft and really keep me warm.
At the moment we really try to use our outdoors area for teaching and we take the kids out as much as possible in any weather conditions (which I dread every single day) so I am really thankful for my thermal tops because now I can actually have fun outside.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend :).

Simplicity.

Not that I can actually afford Natasha Zinko or Pierre Hardy but this is more of an inspirational outfit. I managed to put it together with a similar midi skirt from Asos. Asos full midi skirt

As for shoes and bag- I wear the outfit with any bright coloured bags and heels I have, including cute black high heel boots which worked out well too! Jeffrey Campbell Vixen Suede Boots
I love this outfit because it is so simple and allows all sorts of quirky accessorising. I am still having so much fun experimenting! :).

Forever in black.

Winter feelings.

These CK shoes are one of my favourite purchases. Bought last winter and super discounted to £32 in Asos. I love buying my summer wordrobe in the winter.

Untitled #65

I always get attached to my clothes and accessorise as bad as it sounds and if I come up with an outfit I feel comfortable in I would wear it every day if possible until I find something new.
This outfit has been my favourite for a few weeks now and I show up at work wearing it at least once a week, just changing a few details here and there so it’s not all the same. (Adding a scarf, put on different shoes, sometimes just a change of hairstyle makes it look different..).

I remember that I wasn’t sure of these trousers when I bought them because I am very petite and I’ve always thought I don’t suit the cigarette fit but it’s amazing how much the looks changes when matched with the right item. As for the shoes- they are my favourite this season. I love Shellys, actually have obsession with the brand and for the last year every single pair of shoes I’ve owned comes from there.

My Detox Salad

IMG_1322.PNG

I don’t know about you but I still don’t deal very well with long work days and healthy eating. When I work late my diet and exercise routine goes downhill. It usually takes me eating out or ordering take aways and I rarely have the energy and time to work out. Ever since I found this salad it’s been my staple dinner every weekend. You can add extra greens or dress the way you like it.

Super Green Kale Salad

4-6 cups kale
1 bunch fresh broccoli
1 bunch asparagus
1/2 an avocado
Juice of 1 lemon
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
salt and pepper, to taste
2/3 cup grated Parmesan
2/3 cup sliced almonds, toasted

Whisk together lemon juice, olive oil, salt and pepper. Pour 2/3 of the dressing over kale in serving bowl and toss well. Add 2/3 of the cheese and toss again. Let kale sit for at least 5 minutes.

While the kale rests, cut the brocolinni and asparagus into 1 inch pieces. Cook the brocolinni and asparagus over medium heat for just a minute, just enough to take off the raw edge.

Mix in the vegetables with the kale, almonds, the remaining parmesan, and avocado, toss with the remaining dressing.

Food as Medicine:
Kale is among the most nutrient-dense commonly eaten vegetables. One cup provides 1,327 percent of the Daily Value (DV) for vitamin K, 192 percent of DV for vitamin A, and 88 percent for vitamin C.

I hope you enjoy it :).
